Emergency Notifications
Staying informed during emergencies is important. There are two notification systems you can sign up for that the City of Houston will use to alert the public when emergencies occur.
Residents can sign up for AlertHouston, which is the City of Houston's Email Notification System. This is used for large-scale emergencies which may impact the entire City, such as severe weather.
The Greater Harris County 911 Emergency Network also lets residents sign up for their Emergency Notification System (ENS), which will be used by fire, police and emergency management agencies to alert residents of situations in their neighborhoods.
